Dear Students,
We would like to inform you about the Visual Club which is created by the graduate students of the Intercultural Mediation (MA in Sociology) of our university.
Visual Club consists of two different events which will be held monthly: they are Movie Discussions and Photograph Interpretations.
In Movie Discussion events, there will be a movie screening followed by a discussion. We encourage you to join the Movie Discussion events. It's a place to discuss different ideas from different cultures and broaden your social network.
The first movie will be selected by the Visual Club and the second movie will be selected from attendees' suggestions after the first screening.
In Photograph Interpretation sessions, you will have a chance to interpret various photographs using a sociological lens to see how we are all affected by stereotypes and various assumptions. While the photographs of the first session will be chosen by the Visual Club, the second session's will be chosen by the attendees of the first interpretation session.
