The XX International Seminar within the cycle of “Methodology of Studying Social Systems” was held on 28 January 2021, devoted to social and cultural aspects of operation of the National Civil Protection Service in Italy in times of the COVID-19
pandemic.

Among the lecturers, there were: dr Jolanta Grębowiec-Baffoni, Research Centre “Economy and Law” (Ce.S.E.D.) Legnano. Intercommunal Group of Civil Protection Volunteers “Valconca” (GIV) – Rimini province, second lieutenant of the Sanitary System of the Italian Red Cross Elena Castiello, main coordinator of the Intercommunal Group of Civil Protection Volunteers “Valconca” (GIV), Consultant of the Voluntary Group Directors for Rimini province, engineer Enzo Natali, logistics coordinator for the Intercommunal Group of Civil Protection Volunteers “Valconca” (GIV).

Co-lecture: Italian Republic’s Carabinieri and the COVID-19 pandemic - colonel Orazio Anania, Ph.D., Carabinieri Officers School in Florence, Italy. The cycle is organised and co-organised by the Department of the Sociology of Dispositional Groups of the Institute of Sociology, University of Wrocław, Centre for Studies and Education for Security of the University of Wrocław, Section of Sociological Issues in National Security of the Polish Sociological Association, Polish National Security Association, “Security&Society” Academic Club at the Institute of Sociology, University of Wrocław, Polish Sociological Association – Wrocław Department, Department of the Sociology of Education and Department of General Sociology of the Institute of Sociology, University of Wrocław.
